An Introduction to Our Website
To compliment our book, Thompson Publishing Incorporated created the Leaving the Comfort Zone website as a beneficial tool for teachers, students, and prospective customers. The "Textbook Chapters and Content" menu provides teachers and students with an online version of the book for mobile and at home use; the "Introduction" to the entire book and the "Letter to Teachers and Students" are in this menu's first options. Teachers and students can also find links to full text versions of short stories online, along with music videos for songs and scenes for movie scripts. People considering purchasing Leaving the Comfort Zone should see what the Textbook Excellence ("Texty") Award is and why our book received it. The last option is an order form for Leaving the Comfort Zone, given in a Electronic and Downloadable format. While the site offers an online version of our textbook, there are numerous other features to enhance the Leaving the Comfort Zone experience found in the "Additional Help" menu. Students receive an entire page full of accredited sources for research, citation help, and paper assistance in the "Student Resources and Outside Links" tab. The "Lesson Plan for Scheduled Absences" tab provides teachers with a monthly updated lesson plan for substitutes when they plan to miss a class; however, when sudden emergencies come up, we have a weekly updated "Lesson Plan for Sudden Absences" to cover teachers. Both pages have the required materials for teaching the lesson available to teachers, but that is not the only benefit teachers receive; "Field Trips" features a local literature spot for the state accessing the site, providing the information, current plays, show times, and directions. "Our Newsletter for Teachers" showcases the Leaving the Comfort Zone newsletter, "The Weekly Leaf," which provides information for teachers about updates and a extra piece of literature. Prospective customers and teachers alike will enjoy "What Teachers are Saying about Leaving the Comfort Zone," showing quotes from highly qualified teachers on our textbook's layout, benefits, and overall appeal to students and teachers. The "Meet the Authors" allows our customers a glimpse of and some background information on who created Leaving the Comfort Zone. The tab "Our Tour Dates" gives interested customers the option of having our representatives come to speak about our textbook at your school campus or online; we also provide the mail request form and available dates for presentations. Utilizing all the provided tools, teachers, students, and future customers will receive beneficial help and a fun learning experience with Leaving the Comfort Zone's website. RLS
